How to Get a Live Stream to Broadcast a Game
Online streaming is a way to share media with friends and family over the Internet. Streaming services offer users the opportunity to upload feeds via a webcam and stream them live on their sites. Some of these sites include Justin.tv, Ustream and Freedocast; many users employ these sites to broadcast live feeds of games as they are being played. Viewers can chat to comment on the games with other viewers.

1
Create an account with an Internet broadcasting site (there are many to choose from, including Justin.tv, Ustream and Freedocast). Each service will ask contact information, as well as personal data (location, gender and birthday); creating an account is free for all of these services. Once the account has been created, log in to the site.

2
Activate your webcam (this can be a built-in or a USB webcam), and check that it is functioning properly. Place your webcam in a position close enough to the screen that it will be displaying the event to be broadcast. Ensure that the webcam picks up the image well and that the quality is satisfactory (this can involve trying out different angles and lighting).

Select the option to "Go Live" or "Start Broadcasting." This can vary slightly on each service. The site will ask for details about the broadcast (classification, title, etc.). After this information has been provided, the site will access the image that is being transmitted by webcam. After this, a window displays how the broadcast looks to viewers; this is where any necessary adjustments can be made before going live.

4
Click "Start Broadcast" to post the broadcast live online. Keep the broadcast on until the event is finished, then end the broadcast; an "End Broadcast" option on the stream window should be available.
