Instructions

    • 1

Fill a sink with cool water. Put a capful of wig shampoo in the water. Saturate the wig in the sink and swish it around for 30 seconds. Allow the wig to soak for 15 minutes.

    • 2

Rinse the wig with cool water for about one minute. Dry the wig by pressing it between two towel layers. Spray the wig with leave-in conditioner. Lay the wig on a dry towel and allow it to finish drying overnight.

    • 3

Spray the wig with a spray-detangler.

    • 4

Comb the tangles starting from the bottom and working up toward the top. Use the wide tooth comb to work out the tangles. Do not tug on the wig, but rather use quick movements to gently separate the tangles. Work with 1-inch sections at a time; imagine you are petting a cat and use that stroke to detangle the wig.

    • 5

Pin each detangled section up with a hair clip to keep it from mixing with the tangled sections. When you have untangled all the individual sections, unclip the sections and comb through the entire wig once more.

    • 6

Store the wig by turning the wig inside out and twisting the hair inside the wig cap. This will prevent future tangling.
