How to Loosen a Cork
Enjoying a good wine with a tasty meal is a pleasure for many people, unless something goes wrong removing the cork. By loosening the cork before attempting to pull it completely out, problems can be avoided. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Run the neck of the bottle under warm running water. Keep it there for two to three minutes.
-
2
Place the tip of the wine opener in the middle of the cork. A thinner screw produces less pressure in the cork, helping it to come out easier.
-
-
3
Screw the wine opener through the cork so it is almost down to the bottom, but does not pierce through.
-
4
Hold the neck of the bottle in your less dominant hand with a firm grip. Using your other hand, move the cork slightly back and forth to loosen it.
-
5
Pull out the cork using your dominant hand on the wine bottle opener.
