How to Make Inside Out Braids
An inside out braid is a braid that is raised out from your head instead of being flat and smooth like a normal braid would be. Inside out braids add dimension to your hairstyle and can be dressed up with hair accessories for a special occasion. If you already know how to French braid, then you should have no problem with inside out braiding. Does this Spark an idea?

Comb the hair to remove any tangles.

Divide the hair at the top of the head into three equal sections. Use your fingers on one hand to keep the sections separated.

Take the section of hair on the right and cross it under the middle section so the right section now is in the middle position. Pull gently to tighten the braid each time you cross sections.

Cross the section of hair on the left under the middle section. The left section should now be in the middle position.

Pick up a small section of hair on the right side of the head and add it to the right section of the braid. Cross the right section of the braid under the middle section.

Pick up a small section of hair on the left side of the head and add it to the left section of the braid. Cross the left section under the middle section.

Repeat Steps 5 and 6 until there is no more hair left to add to the braid.

Continue braiding to the ends of the hair, crossing the side sections under the middle section, and secure the braid with a ponytail holder.

Tips & Warnings
Dampen the hair to make it easier to divide the hair into sections.
Don't pull the hair too tightly or you could hurt the scalp.
