How to Dress Like a Modern Day Snow White
In 1938, Disney released the animated movie "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." The movie was based on a Grimm Brothers fairy tale from the mid-1800s, which was most likely taken from earlier regional folk tales, according to the University of Pittsburgh. The Snow White character people most closely identify with the story, however, is the version from the Disney movie. Disney's Snow White has dark hair, pale skin, red lips and wears yellow, blue and red. To dress like a modern day Snow White, you need to make some adjustments to her traditional dress.
Things You'll Need

- Red headband
- Red bow
- Dark red lipstick
- Bright yellow skirt or dress

- Red scarf or red shawl

1
Brush your hair back from your face with a hairbrush and secure it with a red headband. You should not have any bangs or loose hair falling on your face.
-
2
Attach a red ribbon to the top of the red headband, if you desire. Snow White wore a red ribbon in her hair, but the red headband will give the same effect if you do not want a ribbon.

3
Put dark red lipstick on your lips, covering them entirely.
-
4
Put on a yellow dress or skirt. The style can vary, but the color is important to evoke the Snow White image. The yellow should be a bright yellow, not muted.
-
5
Put on a royal blue shirt. If you are wearing a yellow dress, go for a larger shirt that can be worn on top of the dress. Snow White wears a dress with a yellow skirt and blue top, so you are recreating that outfit.
-
6
Tie a red scarf loosely around your throat or put a red shawl around your shoulders. Snow White has red on her dress' puffy sleeves, so by adding a splash of red to the same area, you are modernizing the look.

Tips & Warnings
Choose a skirt and shirt that are in styles you are most comfortable wearing. Your modern day Snow White outfit can include a long, flowing yellow skirt, but it will look equally nice with a shorter, tight yellow skirt.
If you do not have dark brown or black hair, consider wearing a wig or dying your hair, depending on your needs.
If your skin tone is not very fair, you can make it look more like Snow White's by using a very light foundation and applying it to your face, neck and shoulders in a thick, even coat.
