How to Make a Peanut Wreath
When you are decorating our house for a party or celebratory event, such as the fourth of July or a barbecue, you can make your home look more festive by hanging up a decorative wreath. Instead of using flowers or leaves as the material for the wreath, make a more creative wreath using more interesting materials, such as whole peanuts. This enables your peanut wreath to become a conversion starter instead of simply a flowery display.
Things You'll Need
- Hot glue stick
- Hot glue gun
- Foam florist ring, 12-inch
- Unshelled whole peanuts, 3 lbs.
- Craft wire, medium gauge
- Wire cutters
- Needle-nosed pliers
Instructions

1
Insert a hot glue stick into the back of a hot glue gun, and plug in the hot glue gun to heat up for five minutes.
-
2
Lay a foam florist ring onto a flat surface, such as a table or counter top.
-
-
3
Squeeze a pea-sized dollop of hot glue onto the side of an unshelled, unsalted whole peanut. Press the glue-covered peanut onto the florist ring, and hold it in place for 1 minute to allow the hot glue to cool and harden.
-
4
Repeat this process to glue whole peanuts over the entire surface of the foam florist ring.
-
5
Cut a piece of medium-gauge craft wire with wire cutters to measure 12-inches long.
-
6
Wrap the wire around the peanut wreath, and twist the ends of the wire into a loop with needle-nosed pliers. You can now hang up the peanut wreath by the wire loop.
