How to Fix the Layout on Facebook

Facebook is a social networking website that lets you keep in touch with friends, family and business contacts. If you feel that the standard blue-and-white Facebook layout doesn't adequately express your personality, choose a different one to suit your style. Whether you want a specific theme or a colorful layout, install a Facebook application to your profile to switch your layout whenever the mood hits.

Instructions

1. Log in to your Facebook account and type "Change Your Background Layout on F4c3b00k" into the Search text box at the top of the page. Change Your Background Layout on F4c3b00k is a layout app that allows you to change your Facebook profile layout.

2. Click "Change Your Background Layout on F4c3b00k" and then click "Go to App." If the app doesn't show in the search results, click "See More Results..." and then click "Apps" in the left sidebar.

3. View the available layouts. Dozens of layouts include music, wedding and car themes. Click "Install Plugin" underneath the Chameleon Sam graphic at the top left of the page and then click on "install" underneath the layout of your choice. The layout installs to your profile.

Tips & Warnings

• To remove the "Change Your Background Layout on F4c3b00k" application from your profile and revert to the standard layout, remove the app from your profile. Click "Account" and then click "Privacy Settings." Click "Edit your settings" under Apps and Websites. Click "Edit Settings" next to "Apps you use." Click the "Edit" icon next to "Change Your Background Layout on F4c3b00k" and then click "Remove App."
