How to Mount a 1/2 Threaded Rod
Threaded rods are used to support items from ceilings and rafters. The threads on the rods enable adjustment of the hanging item's height. The threads also grip the mating threads on the receiving bracket, causing a strong and vibration-resistant installation. Mounting these rods successfully depends on fastening the mounting bracket in a secure and reliable manner. Does this Spark an idea?

Place a washer over the end of the screw. Switch out the drill bit for the Philips bit attachment in your drill. Drive the screw into the supporting member, keeping the base of the mounting bracket parallel with the floor.
