How to Unlock Last Chair in "ModNation Racers"

PS3 patches automatically download once a game is inserted in the PS3.

Modnation Racers, from United Front Games, requires players to beat specific challenges in order to unlock extras, such as seats, mods, cars and stickers. Once a player beats Career Mode, and completes every challenge, he should have unlocked every item. The problem is that many games still have one seat locked even after beating the game, downloading all online content, using all tokens and connecting the PSP version and PS3 version of the game. It is an unfortunate glitch, but United Front Games has made the seat available to everyone through a downloadable patch.

Instructions

1. Turn on the PS3. Log in by choosing your screen name and pressing "X."

2. Sign in to the PlayStation Network (PSN) if you do not have it set to automatically sign in. From the PlayStation Network icon, where the screen begins once you log in, press the "Up" button to reach "Sign In" and press "X." The "Sign In" button should be highlighted. Press "X."

3. Insert the Modnation Racers game disk into the PS3. The game will automatically begin to load. Press "X" to choose "OK" when prompted. The prompt reads that downloadable content and updates are available. This includes any patches. The content will download and the game will begin. The last seat, the Tin Bucket, will now be unlocked.

Tips & Warnings

• The patch has more than just a free seat. It shortens load times, adds a casual difficulty, lowers the difficulty of a few challenges and upgrades the online server.

• Make sure the firmware on the PS3 is up to date. From the main menu, scroll to "Settings," then down to "System Settings" and then to "System Information." The system software version is listed at the top. The PS3 should automatically ask you to download any updates once the PS3 is signed into the PSN. If not, select "System Update" from "Settings," and follow the on-screen commands.

• If the Tin Bucket seat is not what you are missing, then continue to play the game until you unlock your last chair. Make sure you have beaten every race in career mode, completed every challenge and found every token used to purchase more items.
