Create a "Love You" bracelet with beads.

One way to show a friend that you value the friendship is to give him or her a friendship bracelet with a message on it. Modify the more traditional friendship bracelet design with letter beads in order to make this personal gift. Spell this out in individual beads or use one bead that contains the entire phrase, which should be easy to find in craft stores. Either type of bead is easy to find year-round, and more commonly found in great variety around Valentine's Day

    • 1

Cut three 15-inch pieces of embroidery floss, in any color.

Tie a double-knot 2-inches from one end of the strings to bind them together. Tuck the tails under a heavy item, such as a book or weighted object.

    • 3

Braid the first four inches of the string.

    • 4

Twist the ends of the strings together. Slide on the "LOVE" beads. Push the beads down the strings to where the braided part ends.

    • 5

      Braid 2-inches of string.

    • 6

Twist the ends of the strings together. Slide the string through the "YOU" beads. Push the beads to the braid.

    • 7

Braid the rest of the bracelet, leaving 2-inches free. Tie a double knot next to the end of the braid. Leave the tails to dangle free for a friend to use to tie around his or her wrist.
