How to Get Very Sticky Stubborn Stains Off Stainless Steel Appliances

Get sticky stubborn stains off stainless steel appliances with vinegar.

Stainless steel can be used as a surface of nearly any type of appliance. These appliances are commonly found in the kitchen where sticky residue can easily come into contact with the steel surface. To keep the appliances looking their best, use something that quickly removes the sticky stains off the stainless steel without causing damage to the surface of the appliance.

Things You'll Need

• Dish soap
• White vinegar
• Cleaning rag
• Nylon scrubbing pad
• Baby oil

Instructions

1. Drizzle a cleaning rag with white vinegar and a coating of dish soap. Scrub over the surface with the rag to remove the sticky stained residue. The combination of vinegar and dish soap will most times cut through all stain residue. For extremely tough residue, use a nylon scrubbing pad in place of the cleaning rag; never use metal scouring pads.

2. Wipe the area with a clean, damp rag to remove residue and cleaning solution, then dry the area with a clean rag.

3. Drizzle baby oil over a cleaning rag and rub over the stainless steel, rubbing with the steel grain. The oil will cut through any leftover stain residue plus restore the natural attractive shine of the steel appliance.
