LG ovens come in both electric and gas styles. Thoroughly modern, most LG ovens now have digital displays that help you when problems occur. Most problems with an oven occur when the unit is dirty or the controls are not set properly. Dirt can cause the oven to run inefficiently or not at all.   1. Gas

      Level the unit if the range is uneven by placing a level on top of the unit and turning the feet at the base until straight.

      Check that the door is properly closed if the unit is not warming food properly.

      Set an oven thermometer inside the unit if food is not cooking properly even when the oven is set to the "right" temperature. Touch the separate bake and broil buttons on the control panel at the same time. Touch the bake button again and a zero will appear. Press the number pad to increase the oven temperature by dialing in the number of degrees you wish to raise the temperature to the correct level. Press the start button to set.

      Clean the burners of your unit with compressed air if the flame has yellow in it. The flame should be blue.

      Change the oven rack position if food is baking unevenly.

      Check that the fuse controlling the oven at the home fuse box is flipped to the "On" position if the display is not working or the electronic components fail to react.

      Clean out the unit if it is smoking. Set the oven to self-cleaning if you have this option.

    Electric Oven

      Level the unit as described for gas ovens.

      Check the error code message key in your owner's manual if you are receiving an "F" for failure on the screen. Usually, "F-1" means a shorted keypad, "F-2" means door is locked, "F-3" means open oven sensor, "F-4" is a broken oven sensor, "F-7" no heating and "F-9" the oven is too hot.

      Cover pans with lids if the unit will not bring liquids to a boil. You may have inadequate voltage on the outlet the oven is plugged into.

      Check the plugs on the range are properly plugged into the sockets if they are not working properly.
