"Dora the Explorer" is a popular children's show that is shown on Nick Jr. The show is about a young Spanish girl who goes on adventures with her monkey named Boots, a trusty purple backpack and handy map. This television show is quite popular among children and as such, has become a popular theme for children's parties. If your little one is a fan of "Dora the Explorer" and you plan on throwing a party that is based on the show, include decorative accents --- complete with a Dora-themed centerpiece --- to transform the party space.

3
Print out images of Dora, Boots, Isa, Benny, Tico and the purple backpack onto card stock. Blow up the image of Dora before printing her out so that she is larger than the rest of the characters. Cut out each of the images.
-
4
Paint six wooden barbecue skewers green. Allow the paint to dry completely.
-
5
Glue each of the printed images of the characters to the top of a skewer. Allow the glue to thoroughly dry.
-
6
Insert the end of the skewer that contains the image of Dora into the center of the craft foam. Insert the remaining skewers around the image of Dora so that Dora is surrounded by her friends.
-
7
Inflate green latex balloons with helium and tie them to strings. Tie the strings around the centerpiece so that the balloons float above the top of the decoration.
