People often snack on bananas due to their sweet taste and portability. Like with all foods, though, a banana piece may fall on an article of clothing or on the floor. If removed quickly enough, the chance of a stain is slight. However, if left for a long time, an unsightly stain may occur. With some water and soap, you can easily remove the stain and go back to enjoying your fruit treat. Does this Spark an idea?

      Remove the bits of banana that can be removed.

      Run cold water over the stain.

      Wash the clothing article in the washing machine. Use warm water and bleach that is appropriate for the garment in question.

    Upholstery and carpet

      Remove any excess bits of banana.

      Mix a tablespoon of gentle liquid dish detergent with two cups of water.

      Use a sponge to rub the soapy solution over the stain. Blot until all liquid is absorbed.

      Rub with cold water and blot dry once the stain is removed.
