How to Upgrade Rocket Theme Template
Joomla makes running a website incredibly simple. It is designed to be an easy to use, content management system (CMS) that allows anyone to create professional looking websites without the need for technical skills such as HTML programming. One of the key components in the creation of Joomla sites is the use of templates to control the look and navigation of the finished website. Templates are available for free on the Web or as professionally designed templates from companies such as RocketTheme. As new Joomla versions are released, it may be necessary to upgrade your RocketTheme template.

Hover over the "Member Login" link at the top of the RocketTheme website and enter your user name and password.

Follow the on-screen instructions to download the latest version of your Joomla template to your desktop.

Log in to your Joomla administration panel with your administrator user name and password. Append "/administrator" without the quotes on the end of your domain to open the log in screen.

Hover over the "Extensions" tab and select "Template Manager" from the drop-down menu.

Click on the radio button beside any of the other templates installed on your Joomla site.

Click the "Default" icon with the star symbol in the upper right corner to deactivate the current RocketTheme template.

Hover your mouse over the "Extensions" tab and select "Install/Uninstall."

Click the "Templates" tab in the "Extension Manager" navigation.

Click the check box beside the RocketTheme template you want to upgrade, then click the "Uninstall" icon in the upper right corner.

Click the "Install" tab in the "Extension Manager" navigation.

Click the "Browse" button next to the "Upload Package File" field.

Select the RocketTheme template file on your desktop and click "Open."

Click the "Upload File and Install" button beside the "Browse" button.

Hover over the "Extensions" tab and select "Template Manager" from the drop-down menu.

Click the radio button beside the RocketTheme template you uploaded and click the "Default" icon in the upper right corner to activate the upgraded version of your template.

Tips & Warnings
Use an FTP client or your hosting account's file manager to download a copy of your template's PHP and HTML files if you made custom modifications to the current version of your template.
