How to Make Teeth Look Knocked Out

Blacked-out teeth offer costumes a bit of extra flair.

While most people don't want to look like they are missing teeth, during the Halloween holiday you might feel differently. Perhaps you are attending a costume party dressed as a boxer or a toothless farmer from the backwoods. Regardless of the costume, you can create the full effect of missing teeth without actually removing your teeth. Black them out for a few hours and when the party is over, you can go back to having a mouth full of teeth.

Instructions

Use costume makeup only to black out your teeth. Do not try to use anything from around the house, such as a black marker, because you do not want to stain your teeth permanently or risk having toxins in your mouth. Eyeliner and other everyday makeup may work, but will wash off quickly and may not last as long as you would like. Purchase costume makeup at any Halloween store.

Read the instructions carefully before applying makeup or costume wax to your teeth. Use the brush applicator as directed. Open your mouth to reveal your teeth; part your lips as much as possible so you don't accidentally color them.

Dip the applicator brush into the paint and carefully paint only the tooth or teeth you want to black out. Be sure to cover every portion of the tooth or the effect won't be what you want. Halloween blackout paint and wax lasts through beverages and conversation and only washes off when you wipe it with a towel and brush your teeth.
