How to Keep Your Hair From Frizzing in Humid & Rainy Weather

This can be especially frustrating if you have somewhere important to go, such as a job interview or dinner engagement. 1
Keep your hair's texture as it is. If your hair is naturally wavy or curly, don't try to straighten it with a flat iron. When the humidity is high, the moisture in the air will undo anything you attempt to do with a flat iron or curling iron.

2
Wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo to get rid of buildup and repel moisture. If you don't have a clarifying shampoo, mix 1 tbsp. of baking soda with 1 cup of water, and rinse your hair out with it.

3
Condition your hair with leave-in conditioner and gel. Use 3/4 part gel to 1 part conditioner to reduce frizz. Before you put the mixture in your hair, apply it to one strand to make sure you don't get any flakes.
-
4
Allow your hair to dry naturally. Gently pat your hair with a towel after you've washed it instead of rubbing it. If you must dry your hair with a blow dryer, use the diffuser attachment.
-
5
Apply a silicon-based styling product to your hair. Using a product that contains silicon will enhance shine and prevent frizz in humid weather.
