How to Get Mareep in "Diamond"
Mareep is an electric-type Pokemon with average statistics overall but with better-than-average special attack statistics. In "Pokemon Diamond," Mareep only becomes accessible after you get the PokeRadar. The PokeRadar is given to you by Professor Rowan after you see all 151 Pokemon in the PokeDex. Mareep can be found wandering around Valley Windworks at all times of the day with a 22 percent encounter rate, meaning it may take a while before you find one. Electric Pokemon, such as Mareep, are weakest against rock-type Pokemon such as Onyx, so having one or two in your party will be helpful toward catching Mareep.

Fly, walk or bike to Floaroma Town. Press the "Start" button, and select "Map" to see your current location and distance from Floaroma Town. Head east of the city onto Route 205, as indicated by the sign on the road.

Continue east along Route 205 headed toward Valley Windworks.

Press the "Start" button and select "PokeRadar." Walk through the short patches of grass throughout the Valley Windworks facility until you encounter Mareep. Use ground-based attacks or rock-type Pokemon to lower Mareep's health bar into the red. Throw an UltraBall to catch it.
