How to Make a Homemade Blizzard
Dairy Queen (DQ), a national fast-food and soft-serve ice cream chain based in Edina, Minnesota, introduced the Blizzard in 1985. The Blizzard is vanilla soft-serve that is mixed with milk and various "mix-ins" such as candy, cookies or sundae items. One of the most notable things about a Blizzard is its thickness. When a DQ employee is about to serve you a Blizzard, she turns it upside down to show that it is so thick that nothing drips from the cup. Ice cream, milk, a blender and something sweet are all you need to make a homemade Blizzard. Does this Spark an idea?
