Instructions

    • 1

Bend two wire hangers identically to form circles, leaving the hook part of the hangers untouched.

    • 2

Bind the hangers together to form a single piece, wrapping at least 3 layers' worth of floral tape around the entire circle to cover it.

    • 3

Lay fake leaves directly over the tape-covered frame, wrapping floral wire around both the stem and the frame to secure it as you go. Attach one leaf at a time, overlapping the stems as you work your way around the entire frame. Thanksgiving-themed leaves should be colored orange, yellow or red.

    • 4

Remove the buds with craft shears from your silk or synthetic flowers of choice. Flowers that bloom in autumn include juniper flowers, roses, pepper berry, sunflowers, Gerbera daisies, freesia, cockscomb and baby's breath.

    • 5

Attach the flowers to the wreath by applying a dot of hot glue to the back of the bud. Press down over the leaves at the spot of choice. You can use a few flowers arranged here and there, or cover the entire wreath with blooms

    • 6

Apply small dots of gold glitter glue to the tips of the leaves. Scatter the glitter randomly over the wreath for extra sparkle.

    • 7

Allow the wreath to dry completely before hanging it on your door by the hook on top of the hanger frame.
