Instructions

    • 1

Take one plain fabric circle and lay it flat on a table. Take the two pattern fabric pieces and fold them in half, making a semicircle. Place and align each half on top of the plain fabric circle with the crease facing each other vertically. The folded pieces should look like ladybug wings. Take the darker fabric circle and fold it in half, making a semicircle. Place and align the folded darker circle on top of the structure horizontally. The crease should be facing downward.

    • 2

Iron the pieces together and then add the twine on top of the dark fabric circle with the knotted end pointing away from the body. Fold the ribbon in half and place ends on the edge of the circle with the loop facing inward.

    • 3

Place the other lightly-colored linen circle on top of the pin cushion and pin all of the fabric down securely. Stitch the edges and leave a small enough hole to turn the structure inside out. Trim off any excess twine or fabric and turn the pin cushion inside-out. Fill the pin cushion with small beads and stitch the opening closed.
