How to Make a Frost Design on Glass
Frosted glass evokes several charming themes -- classic, clean country and warm, winsome winter. Get either of these looks by spraying on a frost-like spray onto your window glass or glass jars. You also can use a frost-etching medium that comes in a paint form. You can frost-etch initials, words, designs or whole sections of the glass. Be creative.

1
Line the trim around a glass window or door with painter's tape. Spread a drop cloth beneath the piece of furniture or accessory you are spray painting. Shake the frost-finish spray paint vigorously for one minute. Spray the glass with the paint, sweeping the can over the glass 10 inches away. Do not stay on one spot too long, and do not overcoat. You do not want the glass to drip. It is better to spray several light coats than to spray too much at one time and cause dripping.

2
Squeeze acrylic-etching medium paint onto a paper plate. Tape a stencil onto the glass surface of a glass or window with painter's tape. Dip a sponge brush into the medium and brush over the stencil in one fluid direction.
