How to Make an Inverse Chevron Friendship Bracelet
Friendship bracelets are traditionally made from colorful embroidery threads. As the name implies, they are meant to be made for and then given to a friend, who will then generally return the gesture. The inverse chevron is a repeating "v" shaped design. The finished product looks rather elaborate and complex, but don't be discouraged. After the first few rows, it will feel almost as simple as a single stranded friendship bracelet.

1
Cut approximately 60 inches of each color of thread. Fold each strand in half. On one end you will have loops and on the other end loose strands. Tie a knot a couple of inches from the end on the loop end.
-
2
Tape your loop end to a hard surface, such as a desk or table. The three different colors of thread will be referred to as A, B and C. Arrange the threads so that they line up, ABC CBA.

3
Loop the left hand C thread over and under the right hand C thread. Pull it back back through the loop you have just created. This is called a forward knot. Make two more forward knots with thread C, working across to the right. With the C strand that is still in the center, work left for two knots. Your strands are now lined up, CBA ABA.

4
Repeat Step 3 with strands A and then B. Continue working in this pattern until your bracelet is the desired length,

5
Tie a double knot to finish off your friendship bracelet.
