How to Get Over a Crush on Your First Love
Everyone remembers their first love, the one who seemed meant just for you. Which means that getting over it can be tough. If you are ready to move on from what might have been, and start thinking about your future, there are ways to grieve your losses while giving the sun a chance to break through the clouds.

Part ways with any reminders or mementos that still spark your feelings. If you've been hanging on to a note that he once passed you in class, that's got to go. Any photos, emails, texts or gifts should disappear as well. It can be helpful to have a small ritual to pay your proper respects before committing this sacrifice.

Change your habits to create separation between yourself and your crush. It's possible that your old life revolved around finding ways to see and interact with her, but all that has to change. No more walking past her locker just to catch a glimpse of her in the hallway, or trying to game the system so you end up as lab partners. Instead, make a clean break, changing your life in small but meaningful ways in order to put her out of your mind.

Invest yourself in new opportunities. Take up a new hobby, look for new friends or do something you've never done before. Remind yourself, if you need to, of what your unrequited love is missing out on. Shed your tears, then gear up for the next big part of your life.
