How to Fix a Clogged Coffee Machine
If your coffee maker is taking more time each day to brew up your pot of java or you notice coffee leaking onto your counter top, the machine's flow could be impeded by a clog. Any workhorse coffee machine is bound to experience the occasional clog because of rogue grounds in most cases. But with the help of some few simple guidelines, your coffee maker will experience minimal downtime. Does this Spark an idea?

Switch off your coffee machine's power, and then unplug the device. Allow the machine to cool before continuing.

Open your coffee machine's lid. Push the steamer arm away from the basket and over the water reservoir.

Discard the filter from the machine's basket. Lift the basket out of the coffee machine, and then hold it over a sink.

Press up on the spring-loaded stopper at the bottom of the basket. Run warm water through the basket to clear any load grounds.

Use a butter knife to gently pry away any stuck grounds from the bottom of the basket, and around the stopper, then rinse the basket again.

Pat the basket dry with a clean hand towel, and then replace the coffee machine's basket and close its lid.
