Cut plastic canvas with a rotary cutter.

If you have plastic canvas in your craft scrap pile, use it to make numbers. You can make free-form numbers by cutting them out directly from the canvas. Or, you can place numerical stencils on top of the plastic canvas and cut them with a rotary cutter for more precise numerals.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the plastic canvas on the cutting mat, which should be positioned on a flat surface.

    • 2

Place the numerical stencil on top of the canvas.

    • 3

Secure the stencil to the canvas with strips of painter's tape, which will not leave marks or adhesive on the canvas once you take the tape off.

    • 4

Roll the rotary cutter along the inside frame of the stencil. You may have to roll the cutter twice.

    • 5

Take off the tape and the stencil. Remove the number from the canvas sheet. Repeat with other numerical stencils.
