How to Go Hidden on Facebook

How to Go Hidden on Facebook thumbnail
Someone who is not a Facebook member can never see your full profile.

Facebook is a place for sharing, but that doesn't mean you have to let everyone see your profile information. The social networking site is aware that its members want to protect their privacy, so you can easily hide your content from whomever you choose. To hide your profile from the larger Facebook community, set your privacy standards so that only people on your friend list have access. To be completely hidden from a particular member, block her.

Instructions

    • 1

Click the "Account" link in the upper right corner of your Facebook screen and choose "Privacy Settings" from the menu.

    • 2

Click the "Friends Only" link on the left side of the "Sharing on Facebook" chart.

    • 3

Click the blue "Apply These Settings" button at the bottom of the chart.

    • 4

Hide yourself from another user completely by blocking her. Go to the user's profile and click the "Report/Block This User" link in the left column of her page. Click the box next to "Block [User's Name]" and then "Continue" to block the user. If you select a reason for your block from the list provided, such as "This person is bullying or harassing me," Facebook gets a report about it. If you only block the user, Facebook gets no report, and the person is not flagged as a troublemaker. Once a user is on your block list, she can't find you in search results or see any part of your profile, even your name and profile picture.
