Tips & Warnings
To withdraw the funds you receive through SoundClick, you can use either a PayPal debit card, send yourself a check by hovering your mouse over "Withdraw" in your PayPal account and clicking "Request a Check," or by transferring the balance to a checking account you've linked to your PayPal account. Each option has associated fees for withdrawals, which vary according to PayPal and bank policy. If you're a solo artist, you can use your own personal account, but if you're in a band, consider starting a business account from which you can pay your expenses and members from the profits of your PayPal transfers.
The IRS considers any money you make on the sale of digital goods through third-party services such as SoundClick to be taxable income. Consult a tax professional for your band's appropriate bookkeeping and accounting needs.
