How to Drag the Crop Thing on Facebook
When you choose to make a photo your profile picture on Facebook, drag the "Crop" tool to adjust the size and placement of the image. For example, you might decide to use a photo of yourself with a large group of people as your profile picture. Crop out the people around you in the image to draw attention to yourself.

Log in to Facebook. Navigate to the photo you want to use as your profile picture and click the "Make Profile Picture" button.

Click the mouse anywhere on the image to make the "Crop" box appear. Drag the corners inward to decrease the size of the selection, outward to increase it. Move the box over the portion of the image you want to use as the profile picture.

Select the "Crop" button to crop the image. The image now displays as your profile picture.
