How to Troubleshoot Netflix Speed
Occasionally, you may encounter problems such as skipping while attempting to stream videos on Netflix. You can troubleshoot problems related to your Internet connection speed before reaching out to Netflix or your service provider's technical support. Connection speed issues can cause videos to stop constantly or not play at all. When experiencing connection issues, the online player may also continuously attempt to rebuffer the video while playing the video.

1
Close the Web browser in which you are viewing the Netflix movie. Re-open the browser and attempt to watch the movie again.
-
2
If you are using a broadband connection, check your connection speed using a testing site such as Speedtest.net or Speakeasy.net. Ensure the speed meets the minimum speed requirements required to watch movies via Netflix.

3
Ensure your computer requirements meet the minimum needed to stream movies by comparing your computer's hardware and software specifications to those listed by Netflix. For example, a Windows-based computer must have a 1.2 GHz processor. If your computer does not meet the requirements, video quality may be diminished.
-
4
Close any downloads that have an effect on your Netflix speed. Downloading files and running applications can take up bandwidth that you need to watch a movie without stuttering or pausing frequently.
-
5
Check your firewall to ensure it is not blocking Netflix's access to the Internet. Add an exception for Netflix based on your firewall provider's instructions.
