How to Make Zapdos Appear in "Pokemon SoulSilver"
In the "Pokemon" video games, Zapdos is a legendary bird with spiky black and yellow feathers. It is most active during thunderstorms and can create bolts of lightning by flapping its wings. In battle, Zapdos is a swift combatant with high special attack power. As an Electric- and Flying-type, Zapdos is resistant to Fighting-, Flying-, Bug-, Steel- and Grass-type attacks. In addition, Ground-types cannot hit this airborne creature. In "Pokemon SoulSilver," Zapdos nests near the Kanto Power Plant.

Earn all 16 Johto and Kanto Gym Badges. This requires you to travel through both regions and defeat the 16 Gym Leaders. You will find a Gym Leader in each major town or city.

Fly to Cerulean City in northeast Kanto.

Travel east from the city to enter Route 9. Continue walking east until you reach a river at the end of the route.

Use the Surf ability to swim into the river. Swim south through Route 10 until you see the Kanto Power Plant on your left.

Step onto land and walk west to find Zapdos beside the Kanto Power Plant.

Tips & Warnings
Save the game before you engage Zapdos. If you accidentally knock it out, restart the game to return to your save point and try again.
Before you attempt to capture Zapdos in a PokeBall, weaken it with attacks. It is most vulnerable to Rock- and Ice-type attacks. In addition, put it to sleep with Hypnosis or a similar move.
