Instructions

    • 1

Cover your work space with wax paper.

    • 2

Roll the sugar cookie dough on the wax paper with a rolling pin.

    • 3

Press the pumpkin cookie cutter into the dough and place the cut-out shape on an open spot of wax paper. Repeat until all the dough is used.

    • 4

Stick a cookie-pop stick into each cookie at the base of the pumpkin. Insert the stick slowly, gently touching the top of the pumpkin with your fingers if needed, to prevent the stick from poking through.

    • 5

Transfer the cookies to a baking sheet lined with a baking mat, using a spatula. Bake according to the cookie-dough instructions. Allow the cookies to cool completely after baking.

    • 6

Slip cellophane bags over the cookie pops and cinch them at the base of the pumpkin with a decorative fabric ribbon.

    • 7

Nestle floral foam into a ceramic pot.

    • 8

Insert the pumpkin sticks into the foam at varying angles to create a pumpkin cookie centerpiece that you can use to decorate a table or carry to the front door to greet trick-or-treaters.

Tips & Warnings

  • If desired, decorate the baked and cooled pumpkins with orange icing and candy sprinkles.
