How to Grease Silicon Molds
Silicone bakeware molds are made of a bendable material, unlike rigid metal or glass pans. They withstand very high temperatures and are used for baked good as well as for cold congealed foods. The cookware is considered nonstick but must still be greased before each use. For trouble-free baking with silicone molds, follow the proper procedure for making them truly stick-free. Clean the silicone baking mold with warm water and soap and dry it thoroughly to prepare the surface for greasing.

Spray the silicone mold with short bursts of nonstick spray or use a paper towel to spread a thin layer of cooking oil onto the mold.

Add a light layer of flour for cake batters and breads. This is not used for congealed foods.

Tips & Warnings
For convenience, freeze foods in silicone bakeware molds and then put them either in the oven or microwave for defrosting, warming or baking. Silicone bakeware can easily withstand this kind of temperature change.
Be careful when using knives or other sharp kitchen tools with silicone bakeware.
