How to Check if a Facebook User Is Facebook Developer

Anyone can become a Facebook developer, and there are a number of places you can check to see if a user is one. You can check the user's profile page, ask the person directly or check the Facebook developer blog. If you want to be a Facebook developer, you need the programming skills to create applications that work with the website. You can also be a developer of Facebook itself; however, this requires you to be hired by the company itself.

Instructions

    • 1

Log in to your Facebook account.

    • 2

Type the name of the user you wish to check in the "Search" field. When you see the name come up, click it.

    • 3

Click the "Info" link in the profile and look for listed workplaces. If the user is a Facebook developer and has decided to share such information, it will be listed as one of their places of employment.

    • 4

Navigate to developers.facebook.com/blog and search the blog posts for any posts by the user you are checking up on. If you find one, you know the user is a developer.

    • 5

Send a message to the user in question by clicking the "Message" button in their profile. Ask if she is a Facebook developer; hopefully she will answer your question -- but keep in mind she is under no obligation to do so.
