How to Link AOL to Facebook

Facebook Connect uses trusted authentication methods to link AOL to Facebook.

Facebook Connect allows Facebook users to connect with partner websites like Meetup, YouTube and AOL. When you connect Facebook and AOL, you'll be able to post messages to your Facebook profile from AOL's website. In order to connect the two sites, you need to install the AOL Lifestream Facebook app on your profile.

Instructions

1. Log in to Facebook, type "AOL" into the Search text box at the top of the page and then click the "magnifying glass" to the right of the search box.

2. Click "Apps" in the left column.

3. Click "View App" to the right of AOL Lifestream.

4. Click "Go to App." You will be redirected to the AOL Lifestream Web page.

5. Click "Sign up now" and then click "Login with Facebook."

6. Click the "Allow" button to give the application access to your profile, then click "Continue." After the app has installed, you can post messages on AOL Lifestream and they will post to Facebook.

Tips & Warnings

• If you want to unlink the accounts at a later time, click "Account" in your profile and then click "Privacy Settings." Click "Edit your settings" under Apps and Websites and click "Edit Settings" next to "Apps you use." Click the "X" next to AOL Lifestream to remove the app from your profile.
