1
Trim corn husks to a 6-inch length. Soak the five husks in a bowl of water for 10 minutes to make them more pliable. Lay the husks out on paper towel, and blot them dry after soaking.
-
2
Cut five 3-inch lengths of yarn. Set them aside. Wrap more yarn around your fingers 20 times. Cut the yarn from the skein, and slide the bundle off your fingers.

3
Put two of the corn husks together and set them on your work surface vertically oriented. Place the bundle of yarn on the husks vertically oriented with the top edge of the bundle flush with the top edge of the husks.
-
4
Put two more husks together. Lay the husks on top of the yarn with their top edge flush with the two edge of the first two husks. Gather the husks around the yarn bundle. Tie one of the 3-inch lengths of yarn around the bundle 1 inch from the top.
-
5
Flip the husks over the tie so the majority of the yarn bundle is outside the husks. bunch the husks together, and tie them an inch down from their folded top to create the head of the angel. The inch of yarn that remained inside the husks gives the head its fullness. Cut the folded end of the yarn that is outside the husks to give the angel hair.
-
6
Tie one of the 3-inch-long pieces of yarn around the center of the fifth husk in the center to gather it. Place the angel on your work surface with the head at the top. The angel's body has four layers of husks; flip the top two husks up. Lay the fifth husk perpendicular to the bottom two with the tied center centered along their width. Move the husk up as close to the head as possible. Flip the top two husks back down, and tie a 3-inch piece of yarn around all four of the original husks an inch below the tie that creates the head. This gives the angel wings and a torso.
-
7
Create a loop of yarn with the last 3-inch piece by tying it around the back of the piece that separates the head and torso. Fan out the bottom portion of the husks to give the angel a full skirt. Attach an ornament hook to the loop of yarn to hang the ornament.
