How to Change the Navigation Bar in a Miva Merchant 5.5 PR7 Template

Miva Merchant includes a navigation menu that is visible on your storefront. By reading and clicking through the navigation bar tabs, your site visitors can easily navigate through your store. As a store owner, you are able to customize various facets of the navigation bar, such as the wording and menu visibility. You also have the option to completely remove the bar from your store.

Instructions

Edit or Hide Navigation Bar

1. Log in to your Miva Merchant account. Click the "+" located beside "Miva Merchant Links" to reveal the menu underneath.

2. Click the link representing your store name. This will launch a page editor menu in the right pane.

3. Click the "Navigation Bar" tab, located in the right pane.

4. Type the new name for your navigation bar into the "Store Front" field. To completely hide the navigation bar, delete the text from the "Store Front" field, as well as the remaining populated fields.

5. Click "Update" to save and apply your changes.

Remove Navigation Bar

1. Log in to your Miva Merchant account. Click the "+" located beside "Miva Merchant Links" to reveal the menu underneath.

2. Click the "Pages" link from the sub-menu. All of your storefront pages will appear in the right pane.

3. Click the "Edit" button that is located next to each page. This launches the HTML editor for the page.

4. Locate and highlight the following HTML code inside the HTML editor: <div id="navigation-bar"><mvt:item name="navbar" /></div>.

5. Press "Delete" on your keyboard to delete the highlighted code. Click "Update" to save and apply your changes.
