Clean the surface where you are mounting the suction cup towel bar. Regardless of the type of suction cup, the mounting surface must be free of dust, dirt and grime to obtain a secure seal.

Check to ensure the levers on the suction cups are in the up position, if your suction cup towel bar uses the lever to create a vacuum between the surface and the cup.
-
5
Press the levers toward the mounting surface once the towel bar is in the desired position. The levers help force a tight vacuum between the cup and the mounting surface. Allow 24 hours to pass before hanging towels on the towel bar.

Tips & Warnings
Some lever style suction cups have slightly different methods of operation. Consult the package that your towel bar comes in for specifics on your product. It might take several attempts to secure the suction cup to the mounting surface. If the cup does not secure, ensure the surface and the rim of the cup is clean before trying again. Simple suction cups do not hold well on drywall. Purchase a lever-style suction cup towel bar for use on walls.
