How to Do a Guy's Makeup for a Photoshoot
Men and makeup seem to go together like Arnold Schwarzenegger and ballet dancing. If you are working in film or photography, however, you know that men wear makeup fairly regularly to look their best for the camera. Applying a man's makeup is not complicated, but it is essential to correct any imperfections without looking like makeup. Your application must therefore be sheer and natural. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Clean your hands with hand sanitizer.
-
2
Apply a light coat of moisturizer to the entire face. Allow it to set for a few minutes, then blot away the excess with a tissue.
-
-
3
Concealer under the eyes can help minimize dark circles. Apply a salmon-colored concealer over blemishes and under the eyes only if needed. Apply the foundation with your fingertip, allowing your body heat to melt the product into the skin.
-
4
Apply a light coat of foundation to the entire face with a makeup brush or sponge, tapering it onto the neck. This foundation must match the skin tone exactly, and may have to be mixed from a few different colors. This is to even the skin; if the man already has flawless skin, you can skip this step.
-
5
Powder the foundation with translucent powder and a powder puff. Brush away excess powder with a fluffy brush.
-
6
The eyebrows should have a slight arch, but not nearly as pronounced as a woman's eyebrows. Groom the eyebrows, tweezing and trimming as needed. Spray hairspray onto a disposable mascara wand and use it to brush unruly eyebrows in place.
-
7
Apply clear lip balm to the lips.
