How to Do Coffin Treat Boxes
Halloween is the holiday of costumes, ghouls and candy. Give guests a special treat with homemade coffin treat boxes filled with miniature candies. The coffin boxes make great party favors, placed in a clear bag and tied off with decorative ribbon, or as an end of the night special treat for children done collecting candy from the neighbors. Fill the boxes with any small, wrapped candies. Tuck in a small toy if the boxes are going to very young children.

1
Print the coffin lid and coffin bottom patterns (holiday-crafts-and-creations.com) onto cardstock. Use scissors to carefully cut out the shape of the lid.
-
2
Fold up the sides and tabs as indicated by the lines on the coffin pattern. Use double sided tape to get the sides to adhere to each other and stand up. Repeat the process with the coffin bottom pattern for your treat box.

3
Repeat steps 1 and 2 for any additional coffin treat boxes you wish to make.
-
4
Fill each box with miniature wrapped candies. Check that each box gets an assortment of candies and that the level is filled as far as it can go while still allowing the lid to sit on properly. Place the lids on the boxes.
-
5
Place each coffin treat box in a clear cellophane bag. Tie the end of the bag with a piece of black decorative ribbon. Sit the boxes on a table near the door for departing guests to collect their treat.
