  • Bowl
  • Flour
  • Milk or water
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Plastic storage bag

Instructions

      Pour 1/2 cup flour in a bowl. Dip the eggplant in the flour until all sides are covered.

      Fill a second bowl with 1/2 cup milk or water.

      Fill a plastic storage bag with breadcrumbs.

      Dip the floured eggplant in the milk or water. Transfer the eggplant to the bag of breadcrumbs immediately after dipping.

      Shake the bag thoroughly until the eggplant is completely coated.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add any seasonings, herbs or spices to the breadcrumbs before adding the eggplant, if desired.

  • Use other liquids like juice, oil or melted butter to add more flavor to your eggplant.

  • Peel the eggplant before breading. The skin of the eggplant may be too smooth to coat with breadcrumbs.
