Ryobi table saw models BT 3000 and BT 3100 include accessory tables which are pre-drilled for the additional of a router. Installing the router on the saw allows you to turn your handheld router into a more stable table-mounted router with guide blocks to ensure straight router cuts. The mounting location on the adjustable accessory table has one large hole surrounded by four smaller screw holes.
Step 1
Lock the rip fence firm against the saw blade and slide five of the 5/16-inch square T-nuts from the router kit into the slot on the top of the rip fence. The nuts slide in from the back of the fence. The first nut in must go between the two adjustment screws on the top of the fence. Remove the rear adjustment screw with an Allen wrench, slide the nut past the screw location, and reinstall and tighten the adjustment screw.

Step 2
Install the wood router-guide fence blocks to the rip fence. Each wood block is attached to a bracket, which attaches to the rip fence using knob bolts into two of the T-nuts. Place a 5/16-inch washer at each guide block bracket before installing the knob bolt. The angled ends of the guide blocks should point towards each other.
Step 3
Attach the dust cover assembly to the rip fence using the center T-nut. The dust cover is a round tube which sets above the router bit as it comes up through the saw accessory table. Screw the post for the assembly into the T-nut with the large space washer on top of the nut. The dust cover arm attaches to the top of the post and is adjustable with a knob nut.
Step 4
Attach the router mounting plate from the kit to your handheld router using the four 8 mm Phillips flathead screws. Then attach the router to the bottom of the accessory table using the four number 1/4-20 flathead screws through the table into the mounting plate. The router will be firmly attached to the saw table, with the router bit projecting up through the table. Install the router throat plate in the hole in the table by aligning the plate tab with the slot. The plate reduces the opening in the table to just larger than the router bit.
Step 5
Unplug the saw motor from the saw stand mounted outlet and plug in the router electrical plug. Turn the router switch to the on position. Router power is now controlled by the table-saw power switch.
Tip
Once the mounting is complete, the accessory table, saw rip fence and dust cover can be adjusted for the type of routing task you want to accomplish. The router mounting plate has the correct holes for a Ryobi brand router. If you own a different brand, compare the hole locations in the plate to your router. You can drill different holes in the mounting plate or obtain a universal mounting plate from Ryobi. The router/jigsaw mounting kit includes an additional table clamp to install if the accessory table is not stable enough with the weight of the router installed. The clamp mounts to the bottom rear of the table and clamps to the slide rail. The clamp installs in a similar manner to the router guide blocks using a T-nut in the slide rail.
