Things You'll Need
- 2 cardboard sheets, 8 by 10 inches
- Straightedge
- 2 telephone books or other heavy books

Place a piece of cardboard on a table. Place the receipt face down on the cardboard. Place a straightedge against the top end of the receipt. Hold the receipt down at a corner of the top edge with the other hand.

Press the straightedge against the paper and drag it down to the bottom of the receipt. Remove the straightedge once you reach the bottom. Repeat this procedure two more times before putting the straightedge aside.

Place a piece of cardboard over the receipt. Place a telephone book on the cardboard. Add a second telephone book on top of the first. Leave the receipt undisturbed for a week.

Remove the telephone books and the cardboard. Place the receipt in a protective plastic card holder to guard it against being damaged in the future.
