How to Build a Furry Mask
Building a furry mask to resemble werewolves, cougars or mysterious beasts is a cool craft project that can leave kids and adults with a funny, fuzzy way to disguise true identities. Grab an old mask with a full or partial face and a hot glue gun with some fake fur to get the job done for a Halloween disguise.
Things You'll Need
- Hard plastic face mask
- Faux fur material

Instructions

1
Plug in the hot glue gun and insert a fresh stick of glue.
-
2
Spread old newspapers or a drop cloth on a table or floor. These will protect the work surface from being damaged while making the mask.

3
Place the mask on the newspapers or drop cloth so that the face is facing up. Any plastic mask will do here, whether it is a full face mask or a smaller mask that only covers the eyes or half the face.

4
Cut the faux fur material into pieces of different sizes and shapes. You can use any type of faux fur material. Fabric stores carry varieties with numerous prints and textures. Mix and match different fur types to give the mask a wild and mysterious look.

5
Place several small dabs of hot glue on the back of a patch of faux fur. Carefully place the patch with the glue side down on the mask. Press firmly and hold it for a few seconds while the hot glue cools and bonds to the mask. The hot glue will dry in about 60 seconds. Repeat with different patches of fur until the mask is as furry as you desire.
