How to Fix Portable Ice Makers With a Clogged Line
A portable ice maker is a great little appliance if you're the type of person with a home bar or a lots of guests coming over for get-togethers. A clogged water line in the ice maker might cut the cocktail-making short. Leaks may appear, or cycles may run for too long and cause ice cubes to stick together if lines in the machine are blocked. If the ice maker is cycling but not making any ice, a blocked line might be causing a refrigerant leak, which should be fixed by an authorized technician. Does this Spark an idea?

Take the ice basket out of the unit.

Add 1 part lemon juice and 1 part vinegar to the ice maker area.

Plug in the unit and press the clean button for six to seven seconds. The unit will self-clean.

Unplug the unit once it stops running.

Place the unit's drain plug over a sink, and remove the drain cap. Let the unit fully drain, and replace the drain cap.

Plug in the unit and run the self-clean again without lemon or vinegar. Unplug and drain the unit again.

Replace the drain cap and dry the interior of the unit.
