To delete your Monster+HotJobs account, you must delete your Yahoo profile.

In early 2010, Monster purchased the Yahoo HotJobs recruitment site from Yahoo. The $225 million dollar deal brought all Yahoo HotJobs account holders into the Monster Job Search network. To delete a Monster+HotJobs account, you must delete your entire Yahoo account. Doing so will entirely remove your access to all customized content in the Yahoo network.

Instructions

    • 1

Sign in to the Yahoo account deletion page in Resources.

    • 2

Review the termination agreement. This agreement explains what services are lost when an account is terminated, and presents important considerations, such as premium services that should be cancelled.

    • 3

Enter your password in the "Confirm your identity" box.

    • 4

Enter the alpha-numeric security code displayed in the associated box. If you can not make out the letters, you can listen to an audio code, or change the code to a different image by clicking the "Try a new code" option.

    • 5

Click the "Terminate this Account" option under the word YES, which appears in bold text.

Tips & Warnings

  • As an alternative to deleting your entire Yahoo account, Yahoo recommends making your Monster+HotJobs account anonymous by editing all required fields to contain alternate characters, such as the letter "X."

  • Deleting your Yahoo account removes your access to mail, messenger, premium services and all customized content on the Yahoo network.
