Create fringes to make a knotted T-shirt.

Fashion is one way to show your personality, and you can do this by creating your own style. In the summer it is too hot to wear a T-shirt, but this doesn't mean you have to remove them from your wardrobe. Instead cut a shirt so air flows through and it becomes similar to a tank top. The craft is simple and can be done with any regular T-shirt (not baby tees). You can add beads to the frills if desired or you can cut the T-shirt to just hang off your body.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut the sleeves off the T-shirt with scissors. Cut along the seams to have the front half and back half of the T-shirt.

    • 2

Cut strips that are four inches long and one inch wide along the shoulders of the shirt. Tie the strips from the front half of the shirt to the back half of the shirt.

    • 3

Cut four inch by one inch strips along both sides of each shirt half. Tie the front strips to the back half.

    • 4

Cut fringes that hang six inches long down the front and back of the shirt. Add beads if desired. Otherwise, the fringes could just hang off the body.

Tips & Warnings

  • For a more revealing look, cut off every other strip on the T-shirt.
