Instructions

    • 1

      Wet your hair.

    • 2

Apply a dollop of mousse that is about the size of a silver dollar. Work the mousse through your hair with your fingers. If you want a more sophisticated look, use a quarter-sized dollop of hair gel.

    • 3

      Comb your hair straight back.

    • 4

Hold the tip of the comb down toward your scalp. Position the tip of the comb a couple of inches to the right or left of the center line of your head and "draw" a line straight back. Your hair will part along this line.

    • 5

Blow dry your hair on a cool or medium heat setting if you want a casual look. If you want a dressier look, allow your hair to air dry.

Tips & Warnings

  • Ask your barber to leave your hair a little longer on top if it's straight and a little shorter on top if it's wavy in order to achieve a better part.
