How to Attract a Moshi Monster Pet

Your virtual pets can have pets of their own in "Moshi Monsters."

When you sign up for an account on the child-oriented online game "Moshi Monsters," you adopt one of six types of monster as your virtual pet. Your monster lives in a monster house, which you decorate using items you win and buy in the game. Small creatures called moshlings appear in the Moshling Garden area of the game, and you can send moshlings to your house to serve as pets for your monster. There are dozens of different moshlings in the game, and each one appears only under certain circumstances.

Instructions

1. Click the Map icon and travel to the Moshling Garden.

2. Go to the Seed Cart or, if you're a "Moshi Monsters" member, the Super Seeds shop.

3. Buy three packets of seeds in any combination -- they can be three different types, or two or more can be the same type. Each packet of seeds costs 15 rox.

4. Return to the Moshling Garden. Open your seed pouch and plant the three seed packets in the mounds of dirt.

5. Exit the Moshling Garden, and then immediately return to it. Place your mouse cursor over each mound of dirt. If any of your seeds have transformed into rox plants, click the plants to dig them up.

6. Return to one of the seed shops and buy more packets to replace the plants you dug up. Plant the new seeds, and then leave and return again to make sure you don't have any rox plants growing.

7. Let your plants grow to full size. If your monster is happy and healthy, it will take about six hours for the plants to grow to maturity; otherwise, it may take twice as long.

8. Return to your garden to see if you've attracted a moshling. If so, click the creature to send it to your monster house. If not, read the messages left by the Cluekoo sitting in the tree, who tells you which of your flowers are the right type and color to attract certain moshlings.

9. Keep the plants mentioned by the Cluekoo and dig up the rest. Try a new combination of seeds to catch a moshling.

Tips & Warnings

• "Moshi Monsters" has seven seed types: Moon orchid, hot silly pepper, love berry, magic bean and dragon fruit seeds are available to everyone, and crazy daisy and snap apple seeds are for members only.

• Nonmembers can keep only two moshlings in their monster houses, while Moshi members can hold up to six. Members also have access to a moshling zoo, so they can keep all of the moshlings they catch.

• You'll receive rox currency from a full-grown rox plant, but this plant doesn't attract moshlings.

• Some moshlings are attracted by plants of a specific color, but there's no way to determine the color of a seed until it's fully grown.
