How to Get Choice Specs on "Pearl"
In the Pokemon video games, you can equip your Pokemon with items that will increase their offensive abilities during battles. For example, the Choice Specs are glasses that will raise a Pokemon's special attack power by 50 percent. This boost comes with a cost, however: While wearing the Choice Specs, a Pokemon can only use one attack until it is withdrawn from battle or faints from exhaustion. In "Pokemon Pearl," you will find this item in a shop in Celestic Town.

Travel to Celestic Town in central Sinnoh.

Wait until the clock on your Nintendo DS is between 4 a.m. and 9:59 a.m.

Enter the shop in the northwest corner of Celestic Town.

Talk to the man to the right of the counter. He will give you the Choice Specs item.

Tips & Warnings
When using the Choice Specs, choose your Pokemon's first attack carefully because you will be stuck with it until the end of the battle. Avoid using inaccurate attacks or attacks with low power point limits.
Visit the same shop between the hours of 8 p.m. and 3.59 a.m. to receive the Wise Glasses item. This item will boost the wearer's special attack power by 10 percent.
Visit the shop between the hours of 10 a.m. and 7:59 pm to receive the Black Glasses item. The Black Glasses boost the power of Dark-type attacks during battle.
